Gayatri Mandir Mathura – Guide
Gayatri Mandir is a Hindu temple located in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, India. This temple is completely dedicated to Gayatri Mata. This temple is the first Gayatri temple in the world. This temple is situated on the Mathura Vrindavan road.
In this Gayatri Mandir Mathura, 240 million Gayatri Mantras have been written with hands and water from 2400 pilgrimage places of India. The temple has Yug Nirman Vidyalaya which is active since 1966 which provides self-sustaining education.
History of this Temple
Gayatri Mandir of Mathura was built and established by Sanyasi Shri Vedmurti Pandit Shri Ram Sharma Acharya in the year 1953. At the time of the establishment of the temple, he recited 24 lakh Gayatri Mantras, 1.25 lakh Gayatri Chalisa, Yajurveda, Geeta, Ramayana, Gayatri Sahastranam, Gayatri Kavach, Durga Saptashati, Mahamrityujaya Mantra chanting etc.
At this place by many devotees. Had edited great works. From 30 May 1953 to 22 June 1953, Shri Ram Sharma Acharya ji fasted continuously for 24 days, consuming only holy Ganges water. The temple has a Yagya Shala, which has an unbroken flame by a Siddha Yogi of the Himalayas which is seven hundred and fifty years old and has been enlightened since 1953.
