Soni Ji Ki Nasiyan digamber Jain Mandir is a famous Jain temple located on Prithviraj Marg in the city of Ajmer. Which is popular as Soni Ji Ki Nasiyan and one of the best Jain Temples in Rajasthan. Ajmer place of interest Soniji ki nasiyaan named Siddkoot Chaityalaya and also known as ‘Lal Mandir’ dedicated to the first Tirthankarp of Jainism. The main attraction of Soni Ji Ki Nasiyan Temple is the main hall which is also known as Swarna Nagri or the City of Gold.

History of this Temple

The foundation stone of Soni Ji ki Nasiyan Digamber Jain Mandir was laid on 10 October 1864 by Rai Bahadur Seth Moolchand and Nemichand Soni. And it was opened to the disciples on 26 May 1865 with the image of ‘Agnidev’ in the sanctum sanctorum. He is the first of the 24 Tirthankaras of Jainism. The ancient name of the temple is Siddhakuta Chaityalaya. This temple made of red sand stone is also known as ‘Lal Mandir’. After the Swarna Nagri was added to the temple in 1895, it came to be popularly called the ‘Golden Temple’ or ‘Soni Mandir’.
