Dwarkadhish Mandir Mathura – Guide
Dwarkadhish Mandir “Dwarkadhish Temple” is one of the most sacred temples of Mathura and Uttar Pradesh which is called by famous names like “Dwarkadhish ka Mandir”, “Dwarkadhish Jagat Mandir” and “King of Dwarkadhish”. The “Dwarkadhish Temple” dedicated to Lord Krishna was built in 1814 by a Krishna devotee. Dwarkadhish Jagat Temple is relatively new to other temples. Dwarkadhish temple is also famous for the wonderful swing festival which is celebrated to mark the beginning of monsoon.
History of this Temple
The history of Dwarkadhish Mandir Mathura is about 200 years old. The construction of Dwarkadhish Jagat Temple was started in 1814 by Seth Gokuldas Parikh, a devotee of Lord Krishna and treasurer of Gwalior Raj, but after his death, his son Laxmichandra completed the construction of the temple. In the year 1930, the Dwarkadhish temple was handed over to Acharya Girdharlal ji of Pushtimarg for worship and then worship is done in this temple according to Pushtimargiya method.
