Jeen Mata Mandir Sikar – Guide
The Mandir of Jeen Mata is situated in the Aravalli hills, in Sikar district, 115 km from Jaipur in Rajasthan. Jeen Mata is the incarnation of Maa Durga. Jeen Mata Mandir is known as Shakti Peeth and the real name was Jayantimala. The holy temple of Jeen Mata is believed to be a thousand years old. Its full name was Jayanti Mata.
History of this Temple
The Jeen Mata Mandir Sikar was constructed around 1200 years ago. The temple of Jeen Mataji was a place of pilgrimage from early times and was repaired and rebuilt several times.
It is believed that a king in Dhabu village of Churu district fell in love with an Apsara and married her on the condition that he would not come to her place without her knowledge. The king got a son Harsha and a daughter Jina. Both the children practiced extreme penance and attained status as incarnations of Harsha Bhairon and daughter Jina as incarnation of Durga. Jeen Mata is also known as Mahishasura Mardini Durga with eight arms.

Jeen Mata Mandir Sikar Timings
Jeen Mata Mandir Sikar opens at 4:00 AM in the morning and close at 10:00 PM in the evening. Daily aarti performed at 7:10 AM in the morning and evening aarti performed at 7:25 PM in the evening.
