Diggi Kalyan Ji Temple – Guide

Diggi Kalyan Ji Temple is a major religious place in the Tonk district of Rajasthan which attracts a large number of devotees every year. The faith of the devotees towards this temple is so strong that the devotees reach here by walking barefoot. Diggi Kalyan Ji Temple was rebuilt in the year 1527 during the Mewar rule. This temple organizes Lakkhi fair every year in which people from Jaipur and many nearby cities travel on foot to visit this temple and participate in the fair.

History of this Temple

Shri Diggi Kalyan Ji Temple is located in Diggi town of Tonk district of Rajasthan. This temple is generally known as Kalyan ji, who is believed to be an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Shri Kalyan Mandir was built by King Digwa 5600 years ago. It is an ancient temple whose beauty and history leave tourists mesmerized. The temple is also famous for its architecture which includes sixteen pillars and shikhara. Tourists can see a separate temple of Lakshmi Narayan adjacent to this temple.

Places to visit near this Temple

Sunehri Kothi

Sunehri Kothi is one of the most prominent tourist places in Tonk. Sunehri Kothi is a beautiful palace situated in Rajasthan which is known for its beauty. This palace was built by Nawab Mohammad Ibrahim Ali Khan (1867–1930) of Tonk for dance and music.

Hathi Bhata

Hathi Bhata is one of the few beautiful monuments in Rajasthan, situated at a distance of 30 km from the Tonk-Sawai Madhopur highway. This is an elephant made of a single stone, which attracts a lot of tourists visiting here.

Bisaldev Temple

One of the major temples of Rajasthan which is situated at a distance of about 60-80 kms from Tonk district. Let us tell you that this temple is also known as the temple of Gokarneshwar. A Shivling is situated in the interior of this temple.

By Train- The nearest railway station from this temple is vanasthali nayai railway station which is at a distance of 35 km from this temple. From here you can easily reach this temple by using local transport services or taxi.

By Road- Roads to this temple are well connected with the other cities of the country so you can easily reach this temple by using your own vehicle or by any public buses or taxi from any part of the country.
