Pitreshwar Hanuman Mandir – Guide

Pitru Parvat Hanuman Mandir or Pitreshwar Hanuman Mandir is situated in Hatod road of Indore city. This temple is located slightly inside from Hatod Road. Here people can see the huge statue of Hanuman ji from Hatod main road itself, because the Hanuman temple is built on a high hill. This temple is situated at some distance from Gomatgiri in Indore. It is a religious place. This statue is one of the biggest statues of Madhya Pradesh. The height of this statue is 76 feet. This statue is made of eight metals.

History of this Temple

The walls and pillars of Pitreshwar Hanuman Mandir are intricately carved. One can get a beautiful view of the surroundings from here. The peaceful atmosphere here is very nice. This temple is known as Piteshwar Hanuman Ji Temple. The weight of the idol of Pitrishwer Hanuman ji is 108 tonnes. Its height is 76 feet. The idol of Hanumanji was built by 125 artisans from Gwalior in 7 years.

In 2002, Kailash Vijayvargiya was the mayor of Indore and he got the idea that why not install the biggest statue of Hanumanji at Devdharam Tekri. It was here that he urged the people of the city to plant a sapling in the name of their late relatives on ‘Pitra Parvat’, which would be looked after by the personnel of the Indore Municipal Corporation.

Places to visit near this Temple

Patalpani

Patalpani waterfall is located in Mhow tehsil of Indore district. Here the water falls from a height of about 300 feet. The area around Patalpani is very beautiful and green.

Ganga Mahadev Temple

Ganga Mahadev Temple is located in Sultanpur village of Tirla development block in Dhar district near Indore, which is a scenic spot as well as a picnic spot for the people of Indore. A beautiful waterfall flows in Ganga Mahadev and you will be amazed to see the natural beauty of the place.

Tinchha Fall

It is situated on the Nemawar-Mumbai road, about 25 km from the main Indore. This waterfall also falls from a great height. This is the most special destination for the people of Indore. Tincha Falls is 9 kms from Simlol Main Road.

Gulawat

You can also visit this place famous as Lotus Valley in Hadaud tehsil of Indore district. Here one can see millions of lotus flowers blooming in a lake. This place is also about 35 kilometers away from the city.

By Train- The nearest railway station from Pitreshwar Hanuman Mandir is Indore Railway Station which is at a distance of about few kms from this temple. From here you can easily reach this temple by using local transport services or taxi.

By Road- Roads to this temple are well connected with the other cities of the country so you can easily reach this temple by using your own vehicle or by any public buses or taxi from any part of the country.
