Sanganer Jain Mandir – Guide
Sanganer Jain Mandir, also known as Sanghi Ji Mandir, is a famous tourist attraction in Jaipur. Red stones emphasize the design and sculptures of the entire temple building. Moreover, the architecture of the main gate takes you to another era. The temple in the middle of it is accessible only to the Digmer saints. He takes out the idol from the temple for worshipers for a limited time. It also includes a ‘Nija’ mandir with three shikharas, in the centre of which is Parshvanatha, who bears the seven serpent hoods.
History of this Temple
The Shri Digambar Jain Mandir in Sanganer is dedicated to Lord Adinath, also known as Rishabh. His cross-legged sculptures often represent this personality, and he is one of the 24 Tirthankaras. According to Jain belief, a Tirthankara is an enlightened being who is free from his negative karma and whom others should strive to emulate. According to historians, the temple was completed around the 10th century CE and is undeniably one of the most beautiful architectural marvels representing Jain values and traditions.
