Tulsi Manas Mandir Varanasi – Guide
Tulsi Manas Mandir is a Hindu temple located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. This temple is situated at a distance of about 5 kilometers from the Cantt of Varanasi. The most famous Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple of Varanasi is situated at a distance of about 250 meters from Tulsi Manas and Shri Durgo Kund Temple is situated at a distance of 700 metres. Tulsi Manas Temple has special importance among the temples of Varanasi. Its temple also has historical and cultural importance in Hinduism.
History of this Temple
Tulsi Manas Mandir Varanasi was built by Seth Ratan Lal Sureka. This temple is made entirely of marble. The temple was inaugurated in 1964 by Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the then President of India. A simplified form of the ancient Hindu epic Ramcharitmanas was written on the spot by the Hindu poet and saint Goswami Tulsidas in the 16th century.
Ramayana which is a special epic of Hinduism. Ramayana was written by Valmiki in Sanskrit language. Which is believed to have been written between around 500 and 100 BC. Because the original Ramayana is in Sanskrit. That’s why it was not easy for the common man to understand. That’s why Ramcharitmanas was written in easy Hindi language.
