Patan Devi Mandir is a Hindu temple located in Tulsipur, about 25 kilometers from Balramura district of Uttar Pradesh. This temple is near Nepal border. Patan Devi Temple is also known as Maa Pateshwari Temple. The name of this temple comes in the 51 Shaktipeeths of Mata. One of the famous temples of Mata in India. This temple is also known as pataleshwari Mandir.

History of this Temple

History of Devi Patan Mandir says that this is the place where sita mata inter into the lap of mother Earth. After that pataleshwari Mandir was build at that place. It is also believed that one of the arm of mata sati fall here so this place is famous as Devi Patan. Here, by the order of Lord Shiva, Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath first constructed a monastery for the worship of the Goddess and himself worshiped Jagjanani for a long time. Thus this place is a proven Shaktipeeth as well as a Yogpeeth.

Devi Patan Mandir opens at 6:00 AM in the morning and close at 8:00 PM in the evening. Morning aarti is performed at 7:30 AM in the morning and evening aarti is performed at 7:00 PM in the evening.

Bijleshwari Devi Temple is very famous among the local people. This temple is situated in Balrampur area which is known among us as Bijlipur. This temple was built by the Maharaja of Balrampur in the 19th century.

Koilabas

Koilabas is a natural place, it falls in Nepal, its distance is about 56 kilometers from Balrampur. If you want to go then you can go from Balrampur to Tulsipur then from Tulsipur to Koilabas Nepal. A suspension bridge can be seen on the river between the mountains at the place.
