Kutch Ashapura Mata Temple – Guide
The temple of Ashapura Mata is situated at a distance of 95 km from Bhuj in Kutch. Ashapura Maa is considered the Kuldevi of Kutch and a large number of people in the area have faith in her. One special thing about the idol of Ashapura Mata is that she has 7 pairs of eyes. Ashapura Mata is considered as Kuldevi by many communities. Mainly the rulers of Nawanagar, Rajkot, Morvi, Gondal Baria state are Chauhan, Jadeja Rajput, Kuldevi of Kutch.
History of this Temple
The Kutch Ashapura Mata Temple, built in the 14th century, is dedicated to the Kuldevi of the Jadeja Rajputs. This temple was built during the reign of Jadeja Kingdom. Ashapura Devi Maa is said to be the incarnation of Annapurna Devi, that is why devotees have deep faith in Ashapura Devi Maa. According to belief, Ashapura Devi Maa definitely fulfils every wish. Not only this, many other communities in Gujarat also worship Ashapura Devi as their Kuldevi. Ashapura Devi was worshiped during the reign of Rajput Samma dynasty of Singh province in 9th century AD. After that many other communities also started worshiping Ashapura Devi.

Kutch Ashapura Mata Temple opens at 6:00 AM in the morning and close at 8:00 PM in the evening. Morning aarti is performed at 8:00 AM in the morning and evening aarti is performed at 7:30 PM in the evening.
