As Venezuela continues to climb in the game of snakes and ladders, also known as geopolitics, its allies are only helping it reach higher.  One of them being Iran.

Everyone knows that Caracas has been under one of the most harshest restrictive measures for six decades. Given the fact that the embargo has been for an extremely long time, Venezuela’s economy has endured unprecedented losses over the years due to Washington, its people have been through a lot.

That is why there is so much widespread anger and resentment against the US in the South American country.

Just like Venezuela, there is another country that received the same treatment from the US and that is Iran. Tehran was the victim of the same old draconian measures of the US, which it has employed to rule the entire world. Iran too suffered decades of economic oppression and diplomatic isolation like Caracas.

But as the long-held dominance of the Global North nations are coming to an end now, nations like Iran and Venezuela are taking steps to curb the hegemony of the West and enhance their international influence.

One of these measures was a deal with Venezuela to overhaul its largest refinery to restore Caracas’s fuel production capacity. In fact, both nations are signing an agreement of $640 million.

Iran is bypassing the sanctions of the US, so the Biden administration will certainly make a move against Iran as Tehran has bypassed Washington’s restrictions, Biden will certainly make a stupid move against Iran. However, this time the fight will be different as Venezuela has the support of Russia and China as well. And Iran also has good ties with Russia and China. Therefore, it will not be far-fetched to state that in future Venezuela, Russia, China and Iran will collectively take on the US and facilitate in the efforts to eradicate its hegemony.
