Delhi Lotus Temple – Guide
Lotus Temple is a worship temple located in Bahapur village in Nehru Nagar, Delhi, where there is no idol of God and no any kind of God is worshipped, people come here just to find peace of mind. Due to the shape of this temple being like a lotus, it has been named Lotus Temple. In many places it is also recognized as the Taj Mahal of the 20th century.
History of this Temple
The Delhi Lotus Temple was built by Baha Ullah, the founder of the Bahai Faith and lived in Canada. The Lotus Temple in Delhi was built by Fariborj Sahaba, an Iranian architect. This is the reason why Lotus Temple is also called Bahai Temple. He was approached in 1976 to design the Lotus Temple, which cost a total of $10 million to build.
The Lotus Temple is called the “Bahai House of Worship”, which means it is a temple that practices the Bahai Faith. Baha’i is a Persian religion founded by Baha Ullah in the 19th century on the principle of the spiritual unity of mankind. Basically this religion believes in the unity of all religions. This is the reason that people of all religions can enter this temple, but playing any kind of music and worshiping idols is not allowed here.
