Ukraine has long sought to join NATO, a military alliance that includes many Western countries. However, its aspirations have been repeatedly dashed by the United States, Germany, and Hungary. These three countries have resisted bid of Ukraine to join NATO, despite the support of its neighboring countries like Poland and Romania.

US again rejected NATO dream of Ukraine

At a NATO foreign ministers’ meeting in Brussels, the US again rejected NATO dream of Ukraine. This decision left Ukrainian President Zelensky disappointed and frustrated. He had hoped that Ukraine would be welcomed into the fold, but instead, it seems that the country will remain on the outside looking in.

So why are the US and its allies being so cold to Ukraine? The answer lies in their desire to maintain a buffer zone between themselves and Russia. Ukraine is strategically located between the West and Russia, and both sides have vied for influence over the country for decades. The US and its allies see Ukraine as a pawn in their geopolitical games, rather than as a potential ally.

This is a difficult situation for Ukraine. On the one hand, it wants to be part of a powerful alliance that can protect it from Russian aggression. On the other hand, it does not want to be used as a tool by the West. The country is caught between a rock and a hard place, with no easy way out.

In the end, Ukraine will have to find a way to navigate this complex geopolitical landscape. It will need to continue building strong relationships with its neighbors and pursuing its own interests, while also being mindful of the interests of larger powers like the US and Europe. It’s a tough world out there, but with perseverance and determination, Ukraine can carve out a place for itself on the international stage and distance itself from the West whose association will only cause further misery and devastation.
