Muzzling Dissent: How the Canadian Government is Silencing Fox News

Canada Fox News ban

Canada Fox News ban: Elections are around the corner in Canada, and the Federal government has sprung into action. As there is an undercurrent of concern and tension in the air, the government has started making preparations, and it is now muzzling the voice of the opposition.

To this end, we’ve witnessed how the liberal administration has suppressed dissent and every sort of opposition. The government with the view of banning all the conservative voices in the country enacted Bill C-11. The whole gimmick behind which was to reduce the amplitude of the rising voice of conservatism in Canada. First Google, then Facebook faced the brunt of Trudeau’s authoritarianism and now even the voices of banning mainstream media channels like Fox News are rising in the Canada.

Far-left organisations are eager to prohibit and ban whatever they deem offensive, including the whole Fox News network, as Canada prepares for the implementation of Trudeau’s Internet Censorship regime.

Fox News ban: Egale Canada

The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) has been petitioned by Egale Canada, a non-profit “leading organisation for 2SLGBTQI people and issues,” to ban Fox News from airing in Canada.

Regarding Carlson’s broadcast last week titled “The trans movement is targeting Christians,” Eagle addressed an open letter to CRTC CEO Vicky Eatrides.

For the unaware, Egale Canada is an activist organisation which is partially funded by taxpayers and is partnered with the Government of Canada. This organisation is now calling for the removal of Fox News from Canadian television broadcasting.

The piece by Tucker Carlson which triggered the trans and liberal community was based on a transgender shooter who targeted a Christian school in Nashville last week.

“Carlson made false and horrifying claims about 2STNBGN people, painting them as violent and dangerous,” the group’s open letter reads.

“During the segment, Carlson made the inflammatory and false claim that trans people are ‘targeting’ Christians. To position trans people in existential opposition to Christianity is an incitement of violence against trans people that is plain to any viewer.”

Furthermore, Egale argued that Carlson’s piece made a false assertion about the career chances for 2STNBGN persons.

“This is clearly an attempt to stoke resentment against 2STNBGN people.”

“We are calling on the CRTC to begin public consultations on the removal of Fox News from the List of non-Canadian programming authorised for distribution in Canada.

The Trudeau Liberals have given Egale Canada a minimum of $1.3 million since 2020. This funding was mostly provided by the Department of Women and Gender Equality.

Early in February, the Senate passed the third reading of Trudeau’s Online Censorship Bill C-11 after making a number of changes.

By supporting woke LGBTQ+-related content that supports the government’s agenda and de-boosting information that Canadians would otherwise be exposed to, Bill C-11 aims to create “equity.”

Clearly, Canada has become straight-up Orwellian now. Trudeau has understood the cohesive power that online media possess. There is a large inflow of people towards the conservative camp and every move of Trudeau is questioned freely in cyberspace. So, the progressive-bound Trudeau has changed the track to go archetypal by bringing a dystopian law that restricts Canadians’ freedom of speech.

The liberal government’s act of censoring certain forms of expression is having a chilling effect on creativity. The Trudeau regime knows best how to stifle the diversity and vibrancy of the political landscape. The far-left groups are already raring to go, eager to ban anything they find offensive, especially networks that are right-wing.
