Mumbai Siddhivinayak Temple – Guide
The Mumbai Siddhivinayak Temple located in Mumbai is one of the most prominent temples of Shri Ganesha in India. This temple has its own identity all over the world, because of which people from all over the country and abroad come to visit Lord Ganesha. An idol of Lord Ganesha is installed in this temple, behind which there is a very special story. The name of this temple is Siddivinayak because the trunk of the idol of Ganesha in this temple is turned to the right and Siddhi Peeth is attached to it.
History of this Temple
Mumbai Siddhivinayak Temple was built in the year 1801. Laxman Vithu and Deubai Patil couple had no children, so they decided to build a temple of Lord Ganesha so that the wishes of childless couples could be fulfilled by coming to that temple and they would be blessed with a child. The basic structure of this temple is adorned with a dome shaped shikhara with a square peak.
To increase the grandeur of this temple, a new temple complex has been built so that the grandeur of this temple can be increased. Architect Sharad Athale studied temples in Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu before finalizing the design of the temple. After making all the necessary arrangements, the construction of the Siddhivinayak temple was started in the year 1990.

The festivals celebrated in this temple is like Vinayaki Chaturthi, Sankashti Chaturthi, Maghi Shri Ganesh Jayanti and Bhadrapada Shri Ganesh Chaturthi, which have special prayer services.

Mumbai Siddhivinayak Temple is opens at 5:00 AM in the morning and close at 10:00 PM in the evening. Morning aarti is performed at 6:00 AM in the morning and evening aarti is performed at 8:00 PM in the evening.
