Tilaswa Mahadev Temple – Guide
Tilaswa Mahadev Temple is a holy place which is one of the main temples of India. Tilaswa Temple is located in Rajasthan which is situated about 95 kms away from Bhilwara. Mahadev Temple is an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. A kund or water reservoir is also located in the temple premises in which devotees take a bath.
History of this Temple
Tilaswa Mahadev Temple is situated at a distance of about 15 km from Bijolia town. This Temple is an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The most prominent of the four temples located here is dedicated to Sarveshwar which is Lord Shiva. These temples were built around the 10th and 11th centuries. The temple complex also has a mutt, a kund and a torana.
Best time to visit Tilaswa Mahadev Temple
Tilaswa Mahadev Temple is a major pilgrimage centre of Bhilwara where a one-day fair is held on Bhadwa Amavasya. The idol of Tilaswa Nath is also anointed with Panchamrit and Gangajal. Apart from this, the environment around here is purified. A fair is organized every year at Tilaswa Mahadev Temple.

Tilaswa Mahadev Temple opens at 4:30 AM in the morning and close at 9:30 PM in the evening. Morning aarti is performed at 5:30 AM in the morning and evening aarti is performed at 8:00 PM in the evening.
