Chakkulathukavu Devi Temple is a Hindu temple located in Alappuzha District of Kerala. This temple is completely dedicated to Maa Durga. It is believed that this temple is about 3000 years old. The name of this temple comes in the most famous temples of Kerala. This temple is known as the family temple of the local residents of Kerala. The temple, situated on the banks of the holy River Pampa which is an attractive and popular pilgrimage destination for pilgrims from Kerala and all over India.

Best time to visit this temple

The main festival of Chakkulathukavu Devi Temple is Pongala which is celebrated during the months of November and December. During this festival, dishes made of rice, coconut and jaggery are prepared in the temple which is offered to the god and then distributed to the devotees.

Chakkulathukavu Devi Temple opens from 4:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the morning and from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM in the evening. Morning aarti is performed at 6:00 AM in the morning and evening aarti performed at 7:00 PM in the evening.
