Oil and Gas moguls on odd days, Green activists on even- Canadian Liberal MPs

Justin Trudeau and the Liberal Party of Canada have become champions of green energy and climate change, standing at the forefront of a global movement toward a sustainable future. From the inception of his leadership, Trudeau has put the environment and climate change at the forefront of his agenda, recognizing the pressing need for immediate action to mitigate the effects of climate change.

Under Trudeau’s leadership, the Liberal government has implemented numerous policies and initiatives aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions, investing in renewable energy sources, and transitioning Canada towards a low-carbon economy. These efforts have garnered international recognition, positioning Canada as a leader in the fight against climate change.

The dedication of Trudeau to sustainability and the environment has not gone unnoticed. Numerous people and organizations in Canada have been motivated to take action and support the fight against climate change by his commitment to green energy and the environment. However, this has hurt Canadian resources, which have been trying to make money for years.

Even though JT and the liberals of Canada support green energy, money is ultimately what matters, and guess what? Trudeau and his cronies are profiting from the same sources. Not through making use of Canadian resources, but rather by boosting their own coffers.

30 MPs making money

Between 2020 and 2022, an investigation by The Narwhal and the Investigative Journalism Foundation revealed that 30 Liberal MPs or their spouses took advantage of federal regulations to include oil and gas stocks in their portfolios.

The study identified Enbridge as the company with the most investments by MPs or their spouses, listed in 18 ethics disclosures, followed by Fortis, a natural gas and electricity utility with 11 investments, TC Energy, the company responsible for the Coastal GasLink pipeline, with 11 investments, and oilsands company Suncor with seven investments.

This money also served as cut money for lobbying. After Minister of Natural Resources Jonathan Wilkinson’s spouse invested in Enbridge and Shell, both companies received praise from Wilkinson and his staff.

This occurrence underscores a larger trend of financial connections between Canadian legislators or their families and the oil and gas industry. But, this also serves as a stark reminder that Trudeau and the Liberal party are hypocrites and liars of the top league.

It’s absolutely hilarious to witness the Liberal MPs’ commitment to environmentalism while investing in oil and gas companies. Talk about being two-faced! Money always trumps principles, and these MPs are living proof of that. Trudeau and his cronies may act as if they care about the planet, but let’s not forget that they have their own interests and agendas to pursue.

Canadians must keep a watchful eye on these turncoats and make sure they stay true to their word, or at least true to their investments.
