Trudeau facilitates conservative leaders’ family

Michael Chong attack: Justin Trudeau is facing significant challenges in his political career, with many of his former supporters turning away from him. Meanwhile, his opponents, such as Pierre Poilevre, are working hard to ensure Trudeau’s departure from Canadian politics. Despite this, Trudeau remains resolute and confident in his ability to overcome these obstacles.

However, recent events have raised concerns about Trudeau’s tactics. While he may have the power to outmaneuver his political rivals, he should not resort to targeting their families. Unfortunately, reports suggest that Trudeau has left the families of his opponents in distress, even in the face of potential threats.

Attack on Michael Chong

According to a media report by the CBC, Michael Chong, the Conservative Member of Parliament, has stated that Ottawa deliberately didn’t inform him about the possible threats made by the Chinese government against his family.

Chong made this statement after the Globe and Mail, citing a top-secret document and an anonymous national security source, reported that China’s intelligence service attempted to target Chong and his family.

As the Conservatives foreign-affairs critic, Chong often criticizes the Beijing regime for its human rights record and alleged interference in Canada’s affairs. Chong added that, like other Canadians, he also has family members residing overseas, and any attempts to threaten them by intimidating or coercing individuals in Canada need to be considered a national threat.

Poilevre goes all guns blazing

The Canadian parliament was set ablaze by the claims made by Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre against Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government. Poilievre raised concerns over the government’s inaction on threats made to MP Michael Chong and his family by the Chinese government.

Poilievre pointed out that the government produced a briefing note about the threats two years ago but failed to take any action against the diplomat who worked to punish Chong’s family. He questioned why the government did not expel the diplomat.

Poilievre accused Trudeau of only taking action after the issue was made public and noted that the CSIS briefing note stated that Canada is a high-priority target for Beijing’s interference.

Surprisingly, Trudeau defended his government’s actions by stating that he took immediate action after the Globe story broke.

Chong has been targeted by the CCP since 2021 when China imposed sanctions on him as a result of his scathing opinions on communist practices.

The former cabinet minister also acts as the Tories’ foreign policy spokesman and frequently criticizes the Chinese government for its record on human rights and suspected attempts to intervene in Canadian affairs.

Chong has recently been a prominent opponent of Justin Trudeau’s attempt to characterize Chinese interference as racism. So, it is not at all strange that his family was attacked because he repeatedly caused Trudeau misery. Trudeau is capable of abandoning morality to accomplish anything, but the magnitude of this heinous act is epic.
