Trudeau and his party are feeling the heat as their voter base dwindles, and they’re desperate for any information that could give them an edge. But let’s not forget that privacy is protected by law in Canada, and it is against the law to eavesdrop on people’s lives and data without their permission.
So, what do the liberals do? What is it? A moral and legal disaster.

According to a media report by Global News, attorneys for the Liberal Party are attempting to postpone a legal battle over whether federal political parties are required to abide by fundamental privacy laws while using the data of Canadian voters.

The collection, storage, and use of sensitive personal information about Canadian voters by federal political parties is currently nearly completely unregulated and subject to no scrutiny. And so, federal political parties have had unrestricted access to the private information of Canadians for years, and voter data is becoming an increasingly important component of contemporary campaigning.
But it’s not just the Liberal Party that’s guilty of data harvesting. The Conservatives and New Democrats have also challenged the ruling that federal parties must follow provincial privacy laws while operating in that province. Because when it comes to winning an election, it seems like all bets are off for Justin Trudeau.
On the delay, Privacy Commissioner Phillipe Dufresne has lashed out at the Liberal government’s proposal, stressing that the Trudeau government has not established even “minimum” privacy requirements for political parties.

So what’s the rationale behind the Liberal Party’s delaying of the process? Well, it’s simple. Trudeau believes that he needs this data at any cost before the next elections.
Because that’s the only way to assess the situation. Let’s not forget that Trudeau and his party are bound to lose the next election at any cost. The current trend demonstrates that conservatives have a wide edge over the liberal party.
So, using the voter database, Trudeau could pinpoint his intended audience before making changes to his promotion, which is full of enticing political promises, in an effort to persuade people to support his campaign.
