So…now on Celebrating Canada Day is a social offence

Once upon a time, in a land known for its politeness and love for maple syrup, there was a day called Canada Day. This day was filled with unabashed pride, unapologetic joy, and more pancakes than you could shake a hockey stick at. But alas, my dear readers, those days seem to be but a distant memory.

On this hallowed day, families would awaken to the heavenly scent of freshly made pancakes, drenched in golden maple syrup. It was a delicious tradition that symbolized the sweet start to their Canada Day festivities. But this year, something was amiss. The excitement that once filled the air was replaced with an eerie silence as if the authorities had conspired to dim the celebrations deliberately.

Gone are the vibrant parades that showcased the rich tapestry of Canadian heritage and cultural diversity. Instead, the fireworks were relocated to a roughish park called LeBreton Flats, far from the heart of the nation in Ottawa. It seemed as though someone had taken the wind out of Canada’s sails and relocated it to a hockey rink. Can you believe it?

Trudeau’s statement

In his statement on Canada Day, Prime Minister Trudeau proclaimed, “Wherever your flag flies, it’s recognized as a symbol of democracy, of freedom, and of hope.” Yet, it seems that the esteemed leader is trying to redefine the very essence of your great nation. First, he condemns historical figures and tears down their statues, leaving us to wonder what will be left of your history and heritage.

But that’s not all! Trudeau also dares to suggest changing Canada’s national anthem. Yes, you heard it right. He wants to rewrite the lyrics that have stirred Canadian hearts for decades. Who is he to decide that “home and native land” should become “home on Native land”? the national anthem should be a unifying force, not a political battleground!

And if that weren’t enough, fireworks were canceled in the name of bad air quality. While we understand the need to protect the environment, depriving Canadians of their beloved fireworks on Canada Day is a slap in the face. It’s like denying someone their birthday cake because it might contain too much sugar. Where’s the fun in that?

Change the Anthem

To add insult to injury, while Canadians were denied their celebrations, Trudeau is more than happy to endorse other causes. He wants a Pride Month, but he can’t allow us to revel in the importance of the national day. It’s downright ridiculous!

So, my fellow Canadians, Canada’s pride should not be silenced or watered down. You are a nation of diverse voices, but you must never forget the traditions and values that united you.

On the next Canada Day, rise like the mythical phoenix from the ashes of indifference. Let your maple syrup-soaked pancakes be a symbol of defiance, fireworks a dazzling display of unity, and the national anthem a resounding declaration of Canadian pride.

And to those who seek to undermine your celebrations, remember this: Canada Day is not just a date on the calendar; it’s an expression of what Canucks are as a nation. So, raise your flag high, wear your red and white with pride, and let the world know that celebrating Canada Day is not a social offense but a testament to your unwavering spirit.

Happy Belated Canada Day!
