US based Khalistani terrorist, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, has released a video issuing threats against India’s ambassador to the US, Vinay Kwatra, claiming that he was on the radar of Khalistani Sikhs in America. Pannun alleged that the Indian Ambassador to the US Vinay Mohan Kwatra had been assigned the task of coordinating with Russian diplomats and consulates in North America.

In the released video, Pannun was heard saying, “India has designated Vinay Kwatra, Indian Ambassador in Washington DC, to coordinate with Russian diplomats, and now Russian agencies have started providing intelligence and logistics to India’s RAW and NSA against pro-Khalistan Sikhs. Vinay Kwatra is already a target of pro-Khalistan Sikhs in America,”

Previously, the Indian consulate in San Francisco was attacked and vandalised in March 2023 by Khalistan goons. The National Investigation Agency has taken over the case and released the pictures of the accused involved in the attack and vandalism.

In a response to questions on the latest threat video, the spokesperson of the US embassy in New Delhi said that the United States government is “firmly committed to the security and safety of all diplomatic and consular personnel in the United States” on Wednesday.

The SFJ and Pannun both gained attention in August 2018 after they planned a Khalistan gathering in London’s Trafalgar Square and declared their campaign “Referendum 2020” as a secession vote against India. The Sikhs For Justice continues to be involved in anti-national and subversive activities in Punjab and elsewhere and intends to disrupt the sovereignty and territorial integrity of India, it said. The ministry said that the Sikhs For Justice is actively participating in anti India movements, propagating secession of a part of the Indian territory from the Union of India and supporting separatist groups fighting for this purpose in India and elsewhere by indulging in activities and articulations intended to disrupt the sovereignty and territorial integrity of India.

Such separatist groups are operative all over America and Europe nowadays. They regularly and openly release anti-India videos and do anti-India activities, while Wester governments of the US, Canada and the UK, turn a blind eye to these nefarious activities. They neither arrest or clampdown on outright terrorist elements like Pannun, many experts claim that they are backed by the local state authorities and hence are immune to any action. The
