China’s hold on Canada is so strong that the government, opposition and the media are tight-lipped about the PLA war-drills

Xi Jinping, Justin Trudeau, China, Canada

Since the shocking revelation of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau trying to bring the communist state of China and its troops to Canadian shores hit the social media platforms, there has been a palpable change in sentiments regarding Trudeau and how the liberal world looks at him. However, while the international media has covered the news actively, it is the Canadian media, ruling Liberal party, and the opposition parties that have been tight-lipped on the entire issue in Canada.

Rebel News, which had first revealed the classified documents and showed the extent of Trudeau’s love for China has released another video. The video talks about how the radio silence of Canadian media is posing tough questions to the government as well as the opposition. Speaking about the press conference of Erin O’Toole — a conservative leader and the Leader of Opposition, the news outlet observed that no scathing questions were posed to the leader who, otherwise remained lenient on the ornamental questions posed to him regarding ruling Liberal Party’s blunder.

As reported previously by TFI, the released documents had revealed Trudeau had invited the Chinese People’s Liberation Army, that is, the PLA, to conduct cold-weather training with the Canadian Military Forces back in 2019.

However, the training with China’s People’s Liberation Army was cancelled by Chief of Defence Staff Jonathan Vance amid concerns that Beijing could use the trip to glean information from Canada, according to the outlets, which cited the memos.

What is particularly objectionable is that the Trudeau government seemed to have gone out of its way to appease the paper dragon even after two Canadian nationals were ‘abducted’ by the Chinese authorities. As per The Globe and Mail, even after Canada’s Chief of Defence Staff, General Jonathan Vance cancelled the winter military exercises with the PLA; high-level officials of Global Affairs in the Trudeau regime were alarmed.

Trudeau was definitely doing a disservice to his own nation, as any joint training between the PLA and the Canadian Armed Forces would have allowed China to gain illegitimate military advantage out of Canada. But wittingly or unwittingly, the Canadian Prime Minister was also about to help China gaining a strategic advantage over India. Presently, the Indian Armed Forces and the Chinese PLA are locked in a tense stand-off at the Line of Actual Control (LAC) – the de facto India-Tibet border in Eastern Ladakh.

Trudeau’s love for China has always been closeted. In 2013, during a media briefing, when asked which country he liked the most, Trudeau had responded saying “There’s a level of admiration I actually have for China. Their basic dictatorship is actually allowing them to turn their economy around on a dime.”

Trudeau likes to act tough against the US, India, and other allies but when it comes to cornering China — the real enemy, Trudeau goes back in his shell and remains subservient to Xi Jinping and his CCP. The lack of spine from Trudeau is shocking, to say the least, but what’s even more shocking is the fact that the liberal media of Canada has normalised the entire issue by observing a stoic silence on it.
