How much of a role did Fauci play in the eviction of Donald Trump?

Getting former President Donald Trump out of the White House was not easy for Democrats and their stooges. It took a concerted effort over the past four years, in which all that Trump did was brought into question without any merit, while the man himself was targeted for being an American nationalist above anything else. With the Covid-19 pandemic striking the U.S. in an election year, Democrats were served with a golden opportunity to take on the largely-invincible Donald Trump, against whom no campaigns had worked thus far.

The Democrats waged a war on Trump’s handling of the pandemic and were actively aided by Dr. Anthony Fauci – director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases who has served under six Presidents. Interestingly, when the pandemic first struck America, Anthony Fauci’s statements were pretty much in line with those of Donald Trump. With time, however, and the presidential elections approaching, Fauci decided to play the rebel, and started countering and criticising the Republican President on all counts.

In fact, if looked at objectively, Dr. Anthony Fauci has played a major role in the eviction of Trump from the White House. From praising Joe Biden in the runup to the elections to claiming late last month that he felt ‘liberated’ now that Trump was not around, Fauci has made his bias abundantly clear. One would have thought that with President Biden coming to power, the United States would take giant strides in focussing on the pandemic, results of which would be visible almost instantly. However, despite Biden harping on the ‘healing’ of America, no large-scale difference in the country’s Covid response is being seen.

The number of new cases has been declining steadily for about four weeks, yet even the lowest recent levels far exceed the virus spikes of the spring and summer, when Trump was President. This also effectively means that by the time Trump left the White House, the USA’s gigantic winter surge had started plateauing. Ever since, vaccinations have also been ongoing, apart from the United States appearing to near the herd immunity threshold. All of this combined should have led to drastic falls in the number of cases being reported daily. But there is only so much Biden can do. While the new President can only appear to be handling the pandemic by signing executive orders, he is realising the position Trump was in.

The media, and the likes of Dr. Anthony Fauci, are now silent, despite Joe Biden too proving to be an unmitigated disaster when it comes to tackling the pandemic. In fact, Fauci has most recently spoken of a “liberating feeling” of being able to speak scientific truth about the coronavirus without fear of “repercussions” from Donald Trump. Speaking about his interaction with President Biden, Fauci said, “One of the things that we’re going to do is to be completely transparent, open and honest.”

Anthony Fauci has always been a Biden fan. In fact, in November last year, the NIAID Director heaped praises on the then Democrat-nominee, saying that Biden was “taking it (pandemic) seriously from a public health perspective”. If that was not enough, Anthony Fauci also vehemently opposed a GOP ad, in which one of his statements was used to project Trump and his handling of the pandemic in good light. Soon, the foremost health expert was up in arms against the Republican party and Trump campaign, saying, “The comments attributed to me without my permission in the GOP campaign ad were taken out of context from a broad statement I made months ago about the efforts of federal public health officials.”

But here’s the thing. Anthony Fauci’s anti-Trump statements were used by Democrats on more occasions than one can recount. This, in turn, had severely debilitating consequences for the Trump campaign, yet, the former President maintained his calm. As a matter of fact, Democrats turned Fauci-defenders, and even spoke out in open support of the NIAID Director. Joe Biden, for one, in July last year said, “Donald Trump needs to spend less time playing golf and more time listening to experts like Dr. Fauci.” “The truth is, this country needs Dr. Anthony Fauci,” tweeted Democratic Senator from Virginia, Mark Warner. Muriel Bowser, the Democratic mayor of Washington, D.C. came out to say, “In Fauci we trust”.

Interestingly, Fauci never cared to rebut such Democrats, making his political biases more than evident. To put it simply, Fauci did not like the sight of Donald Trump in the White House, and played a major role, in collusion with the Democrats and liberal media, to have him evicted and replaced with the 78-year-old Joe Biden. Now that President Biden is at the helm of affairs, Anthony Fauci, liberal media and Democrats have all forgotten their moral grandstanding and virtue signalling when it comes to speaking about the raging pandemic.
