Joe Biden takes out $2 Billion from Covid Relief package meant for taxpaying Americans and allocates it to migrant welfare

Irresponsible and careless actions are mostly followed by skewed priorities, and this is exactly what can be observed in the USA. The Biden administration has diverted more than $2 billion from congressionally-authorized programmes for COVID-19 testing, emergency medical supplies, and other health-care needs to provide shelter for the 45,000 unaccompanied migrant children who have crossed the US border this year. The ego of the Biden administration is so large that, instead of realising their fault and doing course correction on the border policy, they are finding it easier to divert funds which are meant to be dealt with a once in a century pandemic to cover up for their faulty border policy.

According to Politico, the Department of Health and Human Services diverted $850 million from funds set aside for testing in President Biden’s huge $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief bill. According to HHS spokesman Mark Weber, Secretary Xavier Becerra took $850 million more out of a fund intended to replenish the Strategic National Stockpile of products including medical gloves, goggles, medicines, and ventilators, and $436 million out of other health initiatives.

Joe Biden and his courtiers are doing everything except what is needed to be done to deal with the gargantuan flow of illegal immigrants from the Mexican border. The Biden administration, just to feed the hate towards former President Donald Trump scrapped the Border wall project. However, since then it has not been able to find an alternative solution to the problem. Earlier too it has gone into denial and has moved the goalpost to the Central American countries.

The Biden administration plans to release a list of corrupt Central American officials by the end of June who may be subject to sanctions, a US special envoy told Reuters, as Washington seeks to cut back on a root cause of increased migration to the US-Mexican border. President Joe Biden’s point man for Central America’s Northern Triangle countries of Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador, Ricardo Zuniga, also said the administration was seeking additional sanctions against officials in the area for suspected corruption under the Global Magnitsky Act.

In total, $2.13 billion has been pumped into emergency shelters along the US-Mexico border, where children are crowded into prison-like “pods” with no social separation.

The news of the cash diversion had Republicans — who have blamed the spiralling border crisis on Biden’s executive orders rolling back President Trump’s strict immigration policies — fuming. “The President single-handedly created this crisis and is now misplacing billions in taxpayers’ money,” Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY) told The Post.
