History
(The Washington Quarterly) TWQ was established in 1978 at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, one of the country’s most prestigious think tanks. Routledge was TWQ’s first publisher.
TWQ was granted patronage by the George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs in 2014. TWQ’s publication agreement with Routledge expired at the same time, and Taylor & Francis took over. Taylor & Francis Group is an international publishing house based in England that specializes in academic journals and books. It is a branch of Informa plc, a publisher and conference organizer based in the United Kingdom.
