Then, Reshmi appeared in Janaki Vishwanathan’s independent film Om Obama. The film was made in 2010 over the course of 35 days, however, it has not yet been released.

Her second release in 2011 was Theneer Viduthi, the debut feature film for music director S. S. Kumaran. Alongside Adith Arun, Reshmi portrayed a “bubbly and talkative girl” in Inidhu Inidhu. She went to the auditions with her friend for the Prakash Raj play Inidhu Inidhu (2010), and she was given the lead part. She had to miss courses at WCC in order to work on the movie while she was still a student and shooting it.

Inidhu Inidhu featured a number of novices making their acting debuts, including Reshmi. She took on Tamannaah’s original role in the remake of the Telugu film Happy Days. The reviews of her performance were mixed.

She “stands out like a sore thumb,” according to Sify’s critic, but The Hindu thought she was a “sweet find.” The original movie’s director, Sekhar Kammula, claimed that when he viewed the remake, he forgot about Tamannaah and could only make out Reshmi.
