According to a recent study on US military might, the US military may not be able to win even one war, let alone two, as the Pentagon struggles to maintain its troops prepared for future Chinese and Russian threats.
According to the Heritage Foundation’s annual “Index of US Military Strength,” years of underfunding and “poorly defined priorities” have made the military “weak relative to the force needed to protect national interests on the global stage.”
Only the Marine Corps was classified as “strong” overall among the services in the report’s evaluation of force capacity, capability, and readiness. The Space Force, Navy, and Air Force all were rated “weak”, with the Army receiving a “marginal” grade. The Army’s ranking bottomed at “extremely weak.”
The report concluded, “In the aggregate, the United States’ military posture can only be rated as ‘weak’.” According to the report, “the military services continue to prioritise readiness and have made some progress in recent years, but modernization programmes, particularly in shipbuilding, continue to suffer as resources are committed to planning for the future, recovering from 20 years of operations, and offsetting the effects of inflation.
Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-Wis.) said on Tuesday that this might lead to severe problems as the US prepares to take on a Chinese military that is fast expanding and becoming more aggressive.
The Navy and the Air Force are the two priority services, and those appear to be the ones doing the poorest in our key region, the Indo-Pacific, the member of the House Armed Services Committee told reporters.

Wokeism infests US forces
However, apart from the technical reasons, there exists a major reason for the U.S. military being downgraded to this “weak” rating. The military is seen by the woke left as an important ideological battleground. Additionally, a large portion of the Pentagon’s top and civilian leadership is ready to battle for the “awakened cause”.
At Biden’s direction, the American military is receiving training in wokeism. Cadets, soldiers, and commanders are required to attend lectures on socialism, gender pronoun training, and critical racial theory. In fact, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin came under fire from Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) on Tuesday for promoting socialism and wokesim in the military while making “blown calls.”
The US army is also prioritizing woke gender identity campaigns over strategic studies in the US army. The US Army has been rooting for a mandatory training program for serving soldiers on gender pronouns. A report by Washington Free Beacon even detailed an official presentation on “Policy on the Military Service of Transgender Persons and Persons with Gender Dysphoria.” The presentation was given to military officers along with coaching material on how to train their subordinates.
And then, Biden is also pushing ahead with his vaccine agenda. The US Army has been discharging soldiers who refused the COVID vaccine, even though the efficacy of American vaccines remains doubtful.
US military faces several challenges in the form of North Korea, Russia and China. However, Biden is training US soldiers in woke agenda instead of keeping them combat-ready. The recent report on the US military only affirms what Biden has been doing.
