Gadhada Swaminarayan Mandir – Guide

Shree Swaminarayan Mandir, Gadhada, Botad in Gujarat is one of the most famous temples in the state. The temple was built by Shri Swaminarayan himself and is filled with memories of him. People often come here to worship Shree Swaminarayan along with worshiping other deities.

History of this Temple

Gadhada Swaminarayan Mandir was construction by the court of Dada Khachar at Gadada. The owner of the land, Shri Dada Khachar was a staunch devotee of Shri Swaminarayan. The entire construction of the temple in the 1800s was supervised and done under Sri Swaminarayan. It is also said that he not only watched the construction but also participated in it by helping the workers in lifting the stones and mortar.

Gadhada Swaminarayan Mandir is open from 06:00 AM to 12:00 PM and again from 04:00 PM to 09:00 PM. Mangala Aarti starts at 06.00 am; Shangar Aarti starts at 07.30 am; Rajbhog Aarti starts at 11.15 am; Sandhya Aarti starts at 07.00 and Shayan Aarti starts at 08.15.

Ganga Chhatri

Ganga Chhatri is a main tourist destination of Bhavnagar. This chhatri has been made in the memory of the queen. This Chhatri is situated on the bank of Ganga Talab in Bhavnagar. There is a bus stand near Ganga Talab here.

You can come to roam comfortably in this umbrella. There is a beautiful park built here, in the middle of which this umbrella is built. This chhatri was built in 1893 AD by Maharaja Takhat Singh ji in the memory of his wife Rajwa ji.

Nareshwar Temple

Nareshwar Temple is a famous temple in Bhavnagar. This temple is very ancient. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Here you get to see a Mukhi Shivling, which looks very beautiful. This temple is located in the heart of Bhavnagar city. You can easily come here.

The temple is very beautiful. You get to see the Shivling in the sanctum sanctorum and there are other smaller Shivlings sitting around the Shivling. This temple is 1 kilometre away from Bhavnagar railway station.

Shivaji Circle

Shivaji Circle is a beautiful park located in Bhavnagar. This park is also known as Nirma Park, because the management of this park is done by Nirma Private Limited. There is a big circle built here, in which a park is built. Here the fountain is also available to see, which is very beautiful. You can spend your good time by coming here. People come here for morning walk in the morning and evening.

By Train- The nearest railway station from Gadhada Swaminarayan Mandir is Alampur railway station which is at a distance of 18 km from this temple. From here you can easily reach this temple by using local transport services or taxi.

By Road- Roads to Gadhada Swaminarayan Mandir are well connected with the other cities of the country so you can easily reach this temple by using your own vehicle or by any public buses or taxi from any part of the country.
