Unai Mata Mandir is situated in the Unai village in the Navsari district which is located 60 km from Surat in Tapi district of Gujarat. It is a place of pilgrimage. History of this Temple
As the history says, Lord Rama along with Sitaji and brother Lakshmana reached Dandakaranya at the end of fourteen years of exile. Sage Sharbhang welcomed Shri Ram to his ashram. And looked after them very well with great love and affection. The sage was suffering from leprosy and his body was foul smelling, in this painful condition he changed his outer form with the power of yoga. Even in painful condition, he followed Shri Ram on foot to send him away from his area.
Lakshmana came to know of their painful condition and told about it to Sri Rama, Lord Rama took his arrow and pierced the earth. Hot medicinal spring gushed out. Sage Sharbhanga took a bath and was immediately cured. Since then the hot springs have been flowing continuously.
Along with this, faith is also flowing in Unai Mata Mandir Navsari. Pilgrims come from far and wide to visit this place. As mentioned on the notice board of the temple. The discharge of the spring is about 5500 gallons per hour with a temperature of 57 to 61 degree Celsius.
