Kaleshwar Mahadev Mandir Paragpur – Guide

Kaleshwar Mahadev Mandir Paragpur is located 8 km from Paragpur village, Himachal Pradesh which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The main attraction of this temple is the Lingam which is situated at the ground level. This temple is adorned with beautiful idols and attracts a lot of tourists.

Kaleshwar Mahadev Mandir Paragpur is a popular pilgrimage centre in Himachal Pradesh. Lord Shiva is the main deity of this temple and the temple is also known as Kelsar. Kaleshwar Mahadev Temple is situated on the banks of river Beas and is also popular as an ideal meditation spot. A Hindu cremation ground is also situated next to this temple.

Kangra Fort

Kangra Fort is located in the city of Dharamshala, on the outskirts of the city of Kangra in Himachal Pradesh. This fort is known as the largest fort in the Himalayas and probably the oldest fort in India. This fort is situated on the lower valley of the Beas and its tributaries.

Kareri Lake is a shallow and fresh water lake located in the Dhauladhar range about 9 km northwest of Dharamshala in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, with a surface elevation of 2934 m above sea level. Brajeshwari Temple is known as the one of the main temples of Kangra. This temple is one of the most impressive and spiritually enlightening places for tourists. This temple is included among the most prominent temples of Kangra as it is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas of India.

Dhauladhar range trek is one of the most attractive treks near Kangra. The Dhauladhar peak is visible throughout the trek to the higher altitudes in Kangra. This trek is north of Kangra and covers the southern outermost range of the Himalayas.

Jwalaji Temple

Jwalaji Temple is also known as Jwalamukhi or Jwala Devi. Jwalaji Temple is located 30 km south from the Kangra Valley in Himachal Pradesh and 56 km from Dharamshala. Jwalaji Temple is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Jwalamukhi.

Palampur

Palampur is one of the major tourist places in Kangra which is surrounded by pine forests and tea gardens. Many rivers flow through the city of Palampur and this city is also known for the wonderful confluence of water and greenery.
