Diggi Kalyan Ji Mandir Tonk – Guide

Diggi Kalyan Ji Mandir is a major religious place in the Tonk district of Rajasthan which attracts a large number of devotees every year. The faith of the devotees towards this temple is so strong that the devotees reach here by walking barefoot. Diggi Kalyan Ji Temple was rebuilt in the year 1527 during the Mewar rule.

History of this Temple

Shri Diggi Kalyan Ji Mandir was built by King Digwa 5600 years ago. The temple is also famous for its architecture which includes sixteen pillars and shikhara. The shikhara of this temple is very attractive and it is supported by sixteen pillars which look very attractive due to the presence of idols made on them. The sanctum sanctorum, circular path and prayer hall of the temple are fine examples of elegant architecture in marble. The figures and statues at the front entrance of the temple are very beautifully carved.

The worship of Kalyanji temple operates on the basis of the season. Diggi Kalyan Ji Mandir is open for darshan from 5 in the morning till 9 in the night.

Bedtime – 2:30 pm

Jagran – 3:30 pm

Evening Aarti – 6:30 PM

Evening Bhog – 7:30 am

Sunehri Kothi

Sunehri Kothi is one of the most prominent tourist places in Tonk. Sunehari Kothi is a beautiful palace located in Rajasthan which is known for its beauty. This palace was built by Nawab Mohammad Ibrahim Ali Khan (1867-1930) of Tonk for dance and music.

Hathi Bhata

Hathi Bhata is one of the few beautiful monuments in Rajasthan, situated at a distance of 30 km from the Tonk-Sawai Madhopur highway. It is an elephant carved out of a single stone.

Arabic and Persian Research Institute

The Arabic and Persian Research Institute is situated between two hills in the city of Tonk. Let us tell you that some of the oldest collection of books and manuscripts in Arabic can be seen in this museum.

Bisaldev Temple 

One of the major temples of Rajasthan which is situated at a distance of about 60-80 kms from Tonk district. Let us tell you that this temple is also known as the temple of Gokarneshwar.

By Train- The nearest railway station from Diggi Kalyan Ji Mandir is Vanasthali which is at a distance of 35 km from this temple. From here you can easily reach this temple by using local transport services or taxi.

By Road- Roads to this temple are well connected with the other cities of the country so you can easily reach this temple by using your own vehicle or by any public buses or taxi from any part of the country.
