Diggi Kalyan Ji Mandir Tonk – Guide
Diggi Kalyan Ji Mandir is a major religious place in the Tonk district of Rajasthan which attracts a large number of devotees every year. The faith of the devotees towards this temple is so strong that the devotees reach here by walking barefoot. Diggi Kalyan Ji Temple was rebuilt in the year 1527 during the Mewar rule.
History of this Temple
Shri Diggi Kalyan Ji Mandir was built by King Digwa 5600 years ago. The temple is also famous for its architecture which includes sixteen pillars and shikhara. The shikhara of this temple is very attractive and it is supported by sixteen pillars which look very attractive due to the presence of idols made on them. The sanctum sanctorum, circular path and prayer hall of the temple are fine examples of elegant architecture in marble. The figures and statues at the front entrance of the temple are very beautifully carved.
