Diggi Kalyan Ji Temple – Guide
Diggi Kalyan Ji Temple is a major religious place in the Tonk district of Rajasthan which attracts a large number of devotees every year. The faith of the devotees towards this temple is so strong that the devotees reach here by walking barefoot. Diggi Kalyan Ji Temple was rebuilt in the year 1527 during the Mewar rule. This temple organizes Lakkhi fair every year in which people from Jaipur and many nearby cities travel on foot to visit this temple and participate in the fair.
History of this Temple
Shri Diggi Kalyan Ji Temple is located in Diggi town of Tonk district of Rajasthan. This temple is generally known as Kalyan ji, who is believed to be an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Shri Kalyan Mandir was built by King Digwa 5600 years ago. It is an ancient temple whose beauty and history leave tourists mesmerized. The temple is also famous for its architecture which includes sixteen pillars and shikhara. Tourists can see a separate temple of Lakshmi Narayan adjacent to this temple.
