History of this Temple

Kanch Mandir indore, literally Temple of Glass, was built in 1903 by Sir Seth Hukumchand Jain, a prominent businessman and one of India’s industrial pioneers. He built a mansion called Sheesh Mahal in Itwaria Bazar and Kanch Mandir near it, both built using a white stone. Externally, the temple is built in the form of a medieval haveli, with a cantilevered balcony and a shikhara. Seth Hukumchand hired artisans from Jaipur and some even from Iran to work on the temple.
