Banaskantha Ambe Mata Temple – Guide

Ambe Mata Temple is located in Banaskantha district of Gujarat in India. This ancient temple of Maa Ambaji, one of the 51 Shaktipeeths of the Goddess, is dedicated to the Shakti form of Mata Sati. In which no idol of mother is sitting. The idol is not worshiped in this temple of Ambaji. Only one holy Shreeyantra is established here in the form of Mother.

History of this Temple

This ancient Banaskantha Ambe Mata Temple is more than 1200 years old. If we talk about the peak of the temple, then 358 golden urns are installed in this 103 feet high peak. According to historical books, Mata Sati is the temple of Ambaji Mata, and at that place the heart of Mata Sati had fallen, that is why this temple is comes among 51 Shaktipeeths. Devotees come here to have darshan of Maa Ambaji and receive her blessings.

Banaskantha Ambe Mata Temple opens from 7:00 AM to 11:30 AM in the morning and from 12:30 to 6:30 PM in the evening. Morning aarti is performed at 8:00 AM in the morning and evening aarti is performed at 4:30 PM in the evening.

Gabbar Hills

Gabbar Hill is a small hill near Ambaji Temple at 4 km. Gabbar Hill is the origin of the Lord and this hill is the site of the ritual ceremony of Shri Krishna.

Nadeshwari Mata Temple

The locality of Nadeshwari Mata Temple is near Suigam in Nadabet, Gujarat, India – also known as Pakistan Border in our Banaskantha district. Nadeshwari Mata Temple was built in the year 2015.

Dantiwada Dam

Dantiwada Dam is located 2 km near Dantiwada village. The dam is a beauty of nature and an enterprise of the Government of Gujarat. Also called picnic place and tourist place. The Dantiwada Dam was first built in 1973 and then reconstructed after the failure of the dam in 1981.

Jessore Sloth Bear Sanctuary

Jessore Sloth Bear Sanctuary is situated at Iqbalgarh village around 8 kms. Jessore Wildlife Bear Sanctuary. Palanpur the hub of Banaskantha is around 45 kms. Also visit Jessore Hill and Bear Sanctuary. This sanctuary is spread over an area of ​​about 185 square meters.

By Train- The nearest railway station from Banaskantha Ambe Mata Temple is Abu road railway station which is at a distance of 45 km from this temple. From here you can easily reach this temple by using local transport services or taxi.

By Road- Roads to this temple are well connected with the other cities of the country so you can easily reach this temple by using your own vehicle or by any public buses or taxi from any part of the country.
