Jodhpur Aadhar Shila Temple – Guide

The Baba Ramdev Temple, also known as the Aadhar Shila Temple, is situated atop a sandstone ‘Masuriya hill’. This hill falls on the route between Jalori Gate and Nagori Gate of Jodhpur. History of Baba Ramdev Temple attracts tourists to know more about the temple. Baba Ramdev Temple was built by Maharaj Ganga Singh of Bikaner in the year 1931 AD. This temple was dedicated to the folk deity of the state who was known as the name Ramdevji. He was popularly believed to be the incarnation of Lord Krishna. It was believed that they had many magical powers. The temple is believed to be the final resting place of Baba Ramdevji.

Jodhpur Aadhar Shila Temple Timings

Jodhpur Aadhar Shila Temple opens at 7:00 AM in the morning and close at 9:00 PM in the evening. Morning aarti is performed at 8:00 AM in the morning and evening aarti is performed at 8:30 PM in the evening.

Jaisalmer Fort

The fort is situated on the Tirukuta hill and is an attractive specimen of Rajasthani architecture. This fort was built by Raja Rao Jaisal, the ruler of Jaisalmer. This fort is at a distance of about few kms away from this temple.

The lake is located close to the Amar Sagar Palace and is surrounded by several temples. The lake was built by Maharawal Akhai Singh during the 17^th century. This lake is few kms away from this temple.
