Tanot Rai Mata Mandir – Guide
Tanot Rai Mata Mandir, located in Tanot village of Jaisalmer district. This place is a popular tourist destination for visiting the Thar Desert in Rajasthan. There are many legends associated with this temple which fill one with awe and wonder at its spiritual power and sanctity. The cultural monument is guarded and maintained by India’s Border Security Force (BSF) since the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.
History of this Temple
The temple is associated with the Longewala war of 1965 when the Pakistani army threw around 3000 bombs at the temple, but none of them exploded. About 450 Pakistani bombs are still on display for public viewing in the temple grounds. Seeing the miracle of Mata after the end of the war, Pakistani Brigadier Shahnawaz Khan applied to the Government of India for permission to visit Tanot Rai Mata Temple.
Tanot Rai Mata Mandir Timings
Tanot Rai Mata Mandir opens at 6:00 AM in the morning and close at 8:00 PM in the evening. Morning aarti is performed at 7:00 AM in the morning and evening aarti is performed at 7:30 PM in the evening.

Patwon Ki Haveli is a famous tourist destination of Jaisalmer. Patwon Ki Haveli is known for its intricate carvings, beautiful paintings and grand architecture. Friends, this beautiful Patwon Ki Haveli was built by Guman Chand. Patwon ki Haveli is a beautiful group of five grand havelis which are known among the famous tourist places of Jaisalmer.
