Britain Declares a ‘Woke war’ on Cows

Methane emitted from cows is the main source of greenhouse gas emissions in the farming industry, accounting for more than a quarter of the UK‘s total emissions. It‘s believed that the methane suppressants will reduce the amount of methane produced by cows by as much as 30%. This is a great initiative that could have a huge impact on the environment and help reduce emissions significantly. In addition to the suppressants, farmers are also being encouraged to adopt new technologies such as methanecapturing systems and feed additives. These systems capture the methane produced by cows and convert it into other forms of energy, such as electricity or biofuel.

The government is also encouraging farmers to shift from traditional methods of farming to more sustainable methods such as organic farming and notill farming. Organic farming avoids the use of chemical fertilisers and pesticides and notill farming reduces the impact of soil degradation.

Even though these initiatives will help reduce emissions, more needs to be done to reduce the impact of global warming. The use of renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind, must be encouraged in order to reduce the reliance on fossil fuels.

In addition to this, other measures such as reducing the amount of plastic and paper products used, reusing items instead of throwing them away, and reducing the amount of energy used must also be taken in order to reduce emissions. So, while cows may be the latest addition to the fight against climate change, we humans must also do our part in order to save the planet.
