Khatu Shyam ji Mandir located in Sikar, Rajasthan is the most famous among the temples of Lord Krishna in the country of India. Khatu Shyam ji is considered to be the most famous God of Kalyug. Devotees say that Shyam Baba fulfills whatever they ask for millions of times, that is why Khatu Shyam ji is also known as Lakhdatar. This temple of Khatu Shyam ji was built during the Mahabharata period, the history of this temple is also related to the battle of Mahabharata.
History of this Temple
The famous Khatu Shyam ji Mandir in Sikar district Rajasthan was built in 1027 by the ruler of Khatu village, Raja Rup Singh Chauhan and his wife Narmada Kanwar. According to legend, once King Roop Singh had a dream, in which he was asked to build a temple for Shyam after he found his head in the kund of Khatu. Then Raja Roop Singh got the temple constructed in Khatu village in the name of Khatu Shyam ji. But in 1720, a famous Diwan Abhay Singh got it rebuilt.
Some soldiers of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb wanted to destroy this temple. They attacked the Shiva Lingam inside this temple with spears. A stream of blood started flowing from the Shiva Lingam, then the soldiers fled from there. Even today one can clearly see the spear mark on the lingam.
Best time to visit Khatu Shyam ji temple
A few days before Holi, a grand fair of Khatu Shyam ji is organized here in the month of February-March, in which devotees of Baba from not only the country but also from abroad come to visit him. Falgun Mela is the main fair of Khatu Shyam ji. This fair is held for 5 days in which devotees celebrate Holi with Shyam Baba.

Khatu Shyam ji Mandir Rajasthan opens from 4:30 AM to 12:30 PM in the morning and from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the evening. Morning aarti is performed at 7:45 AM in the morning and evening aarti is performed at 7:30 PM in the evening.

By Road- Roads to this temple are well connected with the other cities of the country. To reach this temple first you have to reach Jaipur and from here you can easily reach this temple as roads are well connected.
