Who needs a healthy economy when you can lose a billion dollars in the blink of an eye in order to appease those pesky green goblins? It’s as if you’re watching a real-life depiction of “Alice in Wonderland,” with the Mad Hatter in charge of the economy.
Reluctant to Sign LNG Contracts
Forget about getting lucrative LNG deals with international partners. The Trudeau government understands better than to promote economic growth and prosperity when they can cancel, postpone, or stomp on promising investments for the sake of their green objectives.
Canada could have benefitted from selling LNG to Germany because it would have brought in money at a time when the country absolutely needed it. However, Germany’s requests for additional LNG from Canada were turned down by smart PM Justin Trudeau.
As Europe was trying to reduce its reliance on Russian supplies, Canada seemed a viable alternative but the liberals in power were too dead from the neck up to consider the opportunity. The goal was to make the country a key supplier of clean energy like hydrogen. Oh please, liberals! Then stop blaming the former PM for your miscalculations.

Harper is the Man Behind the Environmental Assessment Curtain
The huge revelation has arrived! Stephen Harper’s government, according to the Natural Resources Minister, “gutted the environmental assessment process.” Yes, Harper was evidently the wizard behind the curtain, casting spells to ensure that the Trudeau government would run into every environmental stumbling block possible. It’s akin to blaming a long-dead magician for your own magical blunders.
Liberal Minister of Natural Resources Jonathan Wilkinson recently blamed former Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s government for current failures to expand Canada’s liquified natural gas (LNG) capacity.
Wilkinson made the comments on Tuesday during a heated exchange in the House of Commons natural resources committee with Conservative MP Shannon Stubbs who accused the Liberals of losing out on hundreds of billions in revenue for Canada.
“Your LNG failures cost Canada $108 billion in government revenue, $500 billion in new investment, and 100,000 good-paying Canadian jobs while you ceded the global market to Americans and to dictators and hostile regimes with lower environmental and human rights standards,” said Stubbs.
“Will you actually accelerate approvals for LNG projects just like the Deputy Prime Minister claims you guys want to do? Will Canada actually export LNG to our free and democratic allies around the world?”
In response, Wilkinson called Stubb’s assessment a “series of statements” and claimed that it was the Harper government that “gutted the environmental assessment process” and lost a “social license” from the public to be trustworthy on developing natural gas projects.
“I would say that one of the challenges we had in this country was the gutting of the environmental assessment processes by the Harper government…”
Oh, liberals now you’ll blame your blunders on the green agenda or the former PM, but we all know the reality.

Let’s not forget the very liberals who are fervent supporters of renewable energy, were discovered red-handed owning stock in oil and gas companies. Around 14 Liberal MPs were found boosting their own coffers. Yes, by including oil and gas stocks in their portfolios. A study by The Narwhal identified that even Wilkinson and his spouse invested in Enbridge and Shell.
It’s absolutely hilarious to witness the Liberal MPs’ commitment to environmentalism while investing in oil and gas companies. Talk about being two-faced! Congratulations, Liberals! Your hypocrisy is truly limitless.
