If there’s one thing Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau seems to love more than fancy socks and yoga poses, it’s finding a fresh scapegoat for his mishaps. With China seemingly immune to his charm, Trudeau has turned his gaze eastward, focusing on a new ‘villain’ – India.
For those not up-to-speed with Canadian geopolitical drama, China’s alleged interference in Canada’s internal affairs had the Canucks all riled up. Naturally, an inquiry was set up. The man to lead it? None other than David Johnston, Trudeau’s trusty sidekick. Johnston, proving his loyalty to his boss, not only absolved Trudeau of any ill-will towards China but also dismissed the need for a public inquiry.
This surprising ‘clean chit’ was met with public outrage, much like finding pineapple on a pizza at an Italian pizzeria. Canadians, already suspicious of Trudeau’s Chinese sympathies, saw this as yet another attempt to shield the PM from scrutiny. This ‘clean up’ operation seemed to leave more of a mess behind, and Trudeau needed a new scapegoat, fast. Who is better than India?
Obsession with India
Trudeau is, after all, an artist at dodging responsibility, and painting India as the new villain works perfectly with his canvas. It helps appease the Khalistani agenda of the coalition government of the NDP, led by the equally notorious Jagmeet Singh.
Jody Thomas, Canada’s current National Security Advisor, took this agenda forward by lumping India with the state actors interfering in Canada’s affairs. She quoted “When I talk about foreign interference and economic security, I’m now talking about a number of state actors and non-state proxies.”
“This includes Russia, Iran, and India”
Moreover, the federal government has also accused India of exerting improper influence in Canada, but rarely by name.
Now, isn’t that a bit rich? Trudeau’s government, clearly driven by Khalistani sympathizers, is accusing India of meddling in their affairs, when, on the contrary, their recent Indo-Pacific report celebrates India as a significant security and economic partner.

Rich Canadian Hypocrisy
But let’s delve into reality for a second. Are there any records of India interfering in Canada’s internal affairs? Not even one. Is there proof of Trudeau’s meddling in India’s internal affairs? Plenty! He’s made comments on everything from Indian farmers’ protests to sympathizing with Khalistani outfits, and even weighing in on the arrest of separatists like Amritpal.
It’s like Trudeau thinks he’s on a reality TV show and not leading a country.
Failed Attempt
Trudeau’s attempt to use India as his latest scapegoat seems as convincing as a beaver trying to build a dam with toothpicks. The world knows the truth, and this play doesn’t seem to be garnering the applause Trudeau was hoping for. Canada’s effort to deflect the accusations only highlights its hypocrisy, much like a vegan trying to hide a bacon sandwich.
It’s a fascinating turn of events as Trudeau’s narrative takes another spin, and all we can do is sit back and enjoy the spectacle. In the meantime, we can only wonder who Trudeau’s next scapegoat will be. Russia? Stay tuned for the next episode of ‘Trudeau’s Blame Game.’
