Christianity stands as Canada’s dominant faith despite its multicultural fabric. Over half of Canadians, around 53.3%, identified as Christian in the 2021 census. The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms even acknowledges a divine presence in its preamble.
Although many Canadians affiliate with Christianity and many attend prayers at churches often. This religious tapestry highlights the country’s diverse spiritual landscape.
The Attacks on Canadian Christianity
However, a concerning trend has emerged where the practice and discussion of Christianity are seemingly facing scrutiny and challenges, with the Liberal Party of Canada at the center of the controversy.
Despite Canadian PM Justin Trudeau publicly presenting himself as a devout Christian, just like his father Pierre Trudeau, his actions tell a different story. Trudeau has been criticized for actions that appear contradictory to his professed faith.
Notably, his response to significant events affecting Christianity has raised eyebrows. Following the distressing discovery of a mass grave containing the remains of 215 children near the Kamloops Indian Residential School site in 2021, Trudeau’s condemnation of the act was accompanied by a perceived lack of strong support for the Christian community.
Trudeau’s comments on the situation fell short of many expectations. While he acknowledged that acts of vandalism and arson were unacceptable, he controversially justified the anger directed at both the federal government and the Catholic Church, describing it as “understandable.”
In the aftermath of these events, a distressing trend emerged. Over 81 churches were vandalized or destroyed, raising concerns about the state of religious tolerance in the country.

Trudeau takes the next step
Moreover, one can never forget Trudeau’s disregard for Easter as mere “Long Weekends“, which also drew criticism. Now, concerning revelation has emerged.
Apparently, Trudeau and his liberal cronies are after normalizing prostitution. The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) has sparked controversy with an article seemingly advocating the “normalization of the oldest profession with a woke twist.”
Titled “After coming out as trans, my return to sex work has been unexpectedly rewarding,” tells of a transgender individual’s return to the sex trade after transitioning.
Normalizing Prostitution
Immediately after, criticism surged against the CBC. Conservative figures, including Meghan Murphy, assert lambasted CBC for again spreading woke agenda supporting liberal narratives.

This development also reignites debates over Christian values. Such matters evoke discussions on biblical perspectives. Passages like Leviticus 19:29 and Deuteronomy 23:17-18 from the Old Testament condemn certain sexual immorality and cultic practices linked to sexuality. Interpretations of these passages may extend to include prostitution.
The portrayal of non-binary individuals and matters of sexuality has also added more controversy to the issue.

The normalization of prostitution, especially involving a man, raises some serious concerns. Remembering Canada’s past stance, Bill C-36 once labeled prostitution a ‘nuisance’ and the exploitation of women and girls is now being ridiculed with normalization of such abhorrent acts. It’s high time for Canadians to realize what is happening with their beloved country and their religion.
