Fake News About death of Bryan Silva
Fake news is a menace that has gripped societies across the world. Death hoaxes are the most common and might we say successful way of making a viral post that might do the rounds around the web multiple times. The latest victim is Bryan Silva, who has been rumoured to be dead. The 23-year-old is of course not dead, and he was definitely not ‘gunned down; for using ‘racial slurs’ but such was the hoax.
The false report was posted on Huzlers.com, which says that it doesn’t publish real news. But the news soon went viral and the world started believing Bryan Silva is indeed dead.
“Huzlers.com is a combination of real shocking news and satire news to keep its visitors in a state of disbelief,” reads the website’s About Us section at the bottom of every page. The false report says, “Around 11:00 a.m., Brian, 23, was gunned down just outside a doorway at 1840 W Broad St. He had been shot five times in the head, becoming the first Caucasian killed in the area for overusing the ‘N’ word.” “At the scene, Bryan’s body remained where he fell with a white sheet covering for an extended amount of time and in view of his relatives. Their emotions shifting from shock, to sadness and then anger.”
The hoax has been debunked by a number of websites, but social media users are still believing that Bryan Silva, 23, had died.
“Bryan Silva died,” one person said on Thursday afternoon, fanning the false rumour further.
Added another, “Bro ,Bryan silva just died . #nomoregratata.”
On Wednesday, Silva posted another Vine video of himself looking in the mirror and attempt to rap. He is an aspiring rapper and bodybuilder.

Bryan Silva has more than 461,000 followers on Vines, looping videos of firearms and gun sounds. He is also responsible for the current trending topic # vinelikebryansilva gratata. Stars who make their way to a million fans in sync, Abercrombie & Fitch, Next Generation Kids and comedy clips that give them sponsorships and lucrative opportunities are all individuals like Bryan Silva.
Silva had to wear a GPS tracking device and was not allowed to leave the Jefferson Park Avenue home where the altercation took place. In January 2016 Bryan was involved with Charlottesville Police in an incident where a firearm he pointed was in his possession. In 2016, he announced on his social media account that he would spend more than a year in prison after pleading guilty to a firearms charge. Silva is due to be sentenced on July 5, when a judge will hear a contempt of court charge.
In 2016 it was revealed Silva would serve in prison for more than a year after pleading guilty to firearms charges. Bryan pleaded guilty to the firearms charges and was sent to prison without being found guilty. After his release, he spent several years in custody until January 3, 2016 when Virginia and Charlottesville police found out he was in possession of a handgun and told them that he pointed it at them during the altercation.
