Leslie Millwee and Juanita Broaddrick, both proponents of the Me Too campaign, slammed Vice President Kamala Harris for co-hosting the Clinton Global Initiative University meeting with former President Bill Clinton. The women were appalled to learn that Harris would even consider talking about women empowerment with the man who they claim sexually assaulted and raped them many years ago.

Vice President Kamala Harris is going to speak with Bill Clinton, a man who has been repeatedly accused of sexually assaulting multiple women throughout his time in the oval office and before. But for the Vice President, her partisan lines matter more than the lives of women Clinton allegedly disgraced. And the appalling point to note is that the Clinton is going to talk to the first woman Vice President of the United States on how to empower women, after disgracing woman all his life.

Out of partisan interests, the alleged rape victim is worried that too many Democratic Party supporters are able to turn a blind eye to abuse against women. “I think they understand,” Broaddricksaid. “It is just against their political affiliation. Oh my God, here we go again [and] when are people going to understand what this man is?” Broaddrick told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

The three-day virtual gathering, which began on March 23, is expected to draw 600 student leaders from around the world who want to “take action on pressing community issues.” Empowering women and children, expanding female engagement in society, and leading with empathy and compassion are all on the agenda. Combating the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) virus, as well as various hypotheses about climate change, social justice, structural racism, and public participation, are among the other topics covered.

Broaddrick said she was “devastated” every time she saw the Democratic Party invite President Clinton to make a public appearance. “It is like somebody just slapping you in the face and saying, ‘You do not matter,’” she said.

Millwee is outraged about the hypocrisy of her accused assailant being applauded for talking about empowering women.

“He is going to get up on a stage and tell us about how to be empowered? I truly cannot think of anything more brazen [and] this goes to show you the political power that the Clintons still have. It is just such an upset upside-down world when you have a rapist and a sexual assaulter, who is giving tips and information to try and help empower women—I cannot think of anything more ludicrous than that,” she said.

Broaddrick is also angered by the Clinton family’s reluctance to discuss any claims other than the former president’s affair with former White House intern Monica Lewinsky in 1995. She said, “They have never acknowledged our existence.”

The Clinton–Lewinsky scandal included President Bill Clinton, 49, and White House intern Monica Lewinsky, 22. The sexual relationship occurred between 1995 and 1997, and it was discovered in 1998.

In 1980 Leslie Millwee accused Clinton of sexual assault; in 1991 Paula Jones accused Clinton of exposing himself to her and sexually harassing her and in 1993 Kathleen Willey charged Clinton with groping her without her consent. Juanita Broaddrick accused Clinton of raping her in 1978. The Jones allegations surfaced in 1994, during Clinton’s first term as president, while the allegations against Willey and Broaddrick surfaced in 1999, near the end of Clinton’s second term. Millwee did not come forward with her allegations until 2016.

Inviting a man who has been repeatedly accused of sexual assault throughout his political career to speak on women empowerment is critically disgusting. But the Democrats cannot look beyond than toeing their party line.

Even during the recent scandal where disgraced New York Governor Andrew Cuomo was accused of sexual assault by multiple women, including current and previous employees the Democrats especially the top brass refused to take stern action or even issue a critical statement on Cuomo.

Nancy Pelosi, an ardent Trump critic, held back in her criticism of Cuomo, asking that all parties involved should be treated with respect. She said, “The women who have come forward with serious and credible charges against Gov. Cuomo deserve to be heard and to be treated with dignity. The independent investigation must have due process and respect for everyone involved.”

Thus, when it comes to Democrats, one can always rely on them to toe their party lines unapologetically. To be a vice president and a woman and to be ready to speak to a sexual deviant at a program to talk about women empowerment and development is morally, socially and politically wrong.
