Joe Biden’s address to the nation was so popular that it garnered only half the viewership Trump fetched

The data of the number of people who tune in to view the first joint Congressional address shows the current state of interest the American citizen holds towards their leader. The ratings are in for President Biden’s first address to a joint session of Congress and they aren’t good. Nielsen reported on Thursday that the address just drew an estimated 26.9 million people and the early figure being 11.6 million on Wednesday adding the seven major networks that broadcast the 46th president pitching his liberal agenda to the American people.

Biden’s viewership pales in comparison to his predecessor, former President Donald Trump, whose first address to Congress in February 2017 drew more than 48 million viewers. Trump’s last and even the least-watched State of the Union Address, delivered in February 2020 still pulled in 37 million viewers, which is way more than what Joe Biden was able to garner.

Like his predecessors, the 46th POTUS walked down the aisle in the House chamber to applause, went up to the podium to greet the Speaker and the Vice President and then turned to the cameras and elected officials and assembled dignitaries to pitch his agenda. Unlike previous Presidents, Biden entered wearing a mask and had a total audience of 200 people due to coronavirus protection protocols.

Republicans have been bringing out the hypocrisy of the Biden administration and it would be the very first time that the American people have become oblivious of their President Joe Biden. Tim Scott, a Republican senator, claimed on Wednesday night that it is Donald Trump, not Democrats, who deserve credit for bringing the coronavirus under control. Scott was responding to Joe Biden’s first speech to Congress. The only Black Republican in the US Senate started by denying racial injustice, then went on to describe his own experiences with racism. But instead of being heard by the left-leaning Democrats, he was racially attacked on “Twitter” after which a racial slur about him trended on the platform for more than 12 hrs. Scott slammed Biden’s speech, saying the President gave “false platitudes” about national unity and blasting him for accusing the US of “systemic racism” in remarks made after former police officer Derek Chauvin was convicted in the death of George Floyd.

In addition, former California Senator Kamala Harris was seated next to Nancy Pelosi, the Veep and first in line to the Presidency, which looked much like the people who controlled behind the child Chinese emperors and controlled the whole politics. Furthermore, just over three months after becoming the President, there were no hopes from Joe Biden’s broad-reaching proposals for a radical reform of the function and role of government in American life, which the majority of Americans have understood is becoming a leftist dystopia and no one wants to be a part of the same.
