El Mañana de reynosa is a media outlet of Mexico based in the city of Reynosa and has been contributing in the field of journalism for the last 60 years.

How El Mañana de reynosa started

The governor of Tamaulipas, Ral Gárate, made a proposal to Mr. Heriberto Deándar Amador, mayor of Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, and founder of EL MAÑANA de Nuevo Laredo, in the year 1932, which led to the establishment of the EL MAÑANA newspaper in Reynosa.

This is how Reynosa got its first newspaper, in 1947, when the city was aiming for an economic development based on oil extraction. Development of El Mañana

“It took almost ten years for the Reynosa Newspaper to grow into what it is now.” Mrs. Martnez, Deándar Amador’s widow, said that her brother Salvador Martnez and her children Salvador, Lauro, Homero, and Mario took over the newspaper at one point.

“They were very honest, very honest, very decent people who gave great prestige and great honor to” El Mañana “from Reynosa because they were capable enough to make him progress economically, and left him with great financial strength and a very good road”. Mrs. Martnez recalled that at some time there was the intention to sell the newspaper to the Martínez García family, even putting a price of 950 thousand pesos, less than a million at that time.
Fortunately, she said that unfortunately the cost they asked for the newspaper seemed very high to the buyers and it was from the year 1949 when Don Heriberto Deándar Amador himself decided to be in front of the newspaper, transferring the entire Deándar Martínez family to settle to the city of Reynosa and continue with the progress since by then it was a profitable company.”

Mrs. Ninfa explained that one of her daughters, Mrs. Ninfa Deándar Martnez, was in charge of the newspaper El Mañana de reynosa in Nuevo Laredo, and that after the founder’s death, Mr. Orlando Deándar Martnez and his brother Heriberto Deándar Martnez share responsibility for the newspaper’s direction in Reynosa.
