WWE2K22 is a professional wrestling video game that will be released by 2K Sports and developed by Visual Concepts. It’s the twenty-sixth game in the WWE video game franchise and the ninth under the WWE 2K label. It will be available for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on March 11, 2022.
The game was officially unveiled during WrestleMania 37 in April 2021, with a teaser trailer that aired during the event. The news comes nearly a year after 2K Sports discontinued WWE2K21, following in the footsteps of WWE2K20. Following the terrible reception of the previous game from critics and fans, WWE2K franchise executive producer Patrick Gilmore pledged that the game’s quality will be prioritized.
Commentator Michael Cole claimed on the July 23, 2021 episode of SmackDown that WWE2K22 will include a revamped game engine and smoother controls, which was confirmed by 2K sources. The second teaser trailer debuted at SummerSlam in August 2021, revealing a March 2022 release date.

Release
An official trailer for the game was released on January 20, 2022, along with the game’s official release date of March 11, 2022. For the Deluxe and Standard editions, Rey Mysterio was named as the main cover star.
nWo 4-Life, Deluxe, and Standard are the three official editions of the game. The nWo 4-Life and Deluxe editions will be launched on March 8, three days before the Standard edition, which will be released on March 11.
