The Biden administration has reportedly increased its use of executive power to target political opponents and criminalise dissent. One terrible example is the blatant overcharging and horrific treatment of January 6 detainees in the DC gulag. It is, however, taking far more perilous steps towards establishing a thought police system and the government looks not afraid to say it out loud.
On February 7, 2022, the US Department of Homeland Security issued a National Terrorism Advisory Bulletin outlining their thought crime agenda. “The United States remains in a heightened threat environment fueled by multiple causes, including an online ecosystem rife with false or misleading narratives and conspiracy theories, as well as other kinds of mis-dis- and mal-information (MDM),” according to the report.
The phrase “false or misleading narratives” might be used to characterise CNN and MSNBC’s whole broadcast schedule. They’ve even given the problem a TLA (three-letter acronym), indicating that we’re deep into a terrible government solution.
The urge to control what people see, hear, read, and think is deeply ingrained in the left’s playbook. They’ve been doing it for generations, but it has transcended to the point where they boast about it loud without an ounce of shame. The trick today is to connect the discourse they wish to silence with terrorism. After the disturbance on January 6, 2021, they were quite successful in doing so. They described a political demonstration that went out of control as an insurgency or a coup. Then they began to disseminate it beyond the small number of people who used violence to the great majority of people who demonstrated peacefully. They’re now enlisting the help of everyone who believes the election results should be investigated in any way.
Then they brought seditious conspiracy charges against some of the rioters. This ignored the reality that the conspiracy they discovered was not aimed at overthrowing the government or even the election, as their own indictments revealed. It was to establish a Quick Reaction Force (QRF) across the river from DC in case Antifa attacked or if President Trump himself invoked the Insurrection Act and requested help.
The Orwellian World has come to reality in Biden’s USA
This is the Department of Homeland Security’s sixth NTAS Bulletin since January 2021, and it replaces the previous Bulletin, which expired on Wednesday. The organisation had previously warned about the possibility of violence as a result of lockdowns.
“While the conditions underlying the heightened threat landscape have not significantly changed over the last year, the convergence of the following factors has increased the volatility, unpredictability, and complexity of the threat environment:
1. The proliferation of false or misleading narratives, which sow discord or undermine public trust in U.S. government institutions;
2. Continued calls for violence directed at U.S. critical infrastructure; soft targets and mass gatherings; faith-based institutions, such as churches, synagogues, and mosques; institutions of higher education; racial and religious minorities; government facilities and personnel, including law enforcement and the military; the media; and perceived ideological opponents; and,
3. Calls by foreign terrorist organizations for attacks on the United States based on recent events,” the bulletin says.
The Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol is frantically spinning all of the material into a web. They’re unlikely to succeed because all available evidence so far indicates that there was no actual plot to attack the US Capitol. However, the circumstance is extremely beneficial to the Biden administration. It provided them with a means of stamping a large number of their political opponents as seditionist, coup plotters, insurgents, and, most importantly, terrorists. That’s precisely what this new threat document is aiming for.
The Orwellian world is where classical liberalism goes down the dust. “To refuse a hearing to an opinion, because they are sure that it is false, is to assume that their certainty is the same thing as absolute certainty. All silencing of discussion is an assumption of infallibility.” — John Stuart Mill
As we devolve into a new phase, John Stuart Mill must be turning in his grave, as we cede into a cancel culture that validates personal destruction as a means of invalidating an opposing view, rather than arguing the merits of one’s position.
Historians weren’t arguing that Nikole Hannah-Jones didn’t have the right to express her perspective on the roots of the American Revolution when they attacked the 1619 Project’s empirical foundations. Their issue was with the accuracy of that opinion, which is currently being investigated.
Now the government of Joe Biden has started to garner tools to act as the big brother, which seems right out of George Orwell’s book 1984. In his attempts to beat China, Joe Biden is creating an Orwellian state in his own country. The sad part is, the country used to run this new culture, which is supposedly the representation of liberty, however, not anymore.
