Wahab Riaz was conceived on June 28, 1985. He was a businessman named Muhammad Sikandar Riaz Kasana’s son. He received his education at Lahore’s esteemed Aitchison College. Eshal is the name of Riaz’s daughter from his marriage to Zainab Chaudhary.

Riaz was chosen to play for Pakistan in the tri-series against India and Bangladesh. He had three wickets for 22 runs in seven overs in his first game against Bangladesh. He took two wickets in the following game against India, although he also let up 85 runs.

In the third test of the 2010 series against England, Riaz played his first Test match. Riaz recorded 5/63 in the first innings of England’s first batting effort. He batted at number three in Pakistan’s opening innings and scored 27 runs.

After playing in 4 ODIs, Riaz next represented Pakistan in the Test series against South Africa in October 2010. He was selected to play in the first Test later in the series.
