In March this year, Canadian chief of the defence staff General Wayne Eyre claimed that the threat of a Russian invasion in Canada’s North was “very low.”

NOT ANYMORE!

Thanks to Justin Trudeau’s anti-Russia incendiary actions.

Trudeau is highly mistaken if he deems fit to poke the Russian bear without having to worry about dire consequences.

Canada has formally entered the Russia-Ukraine war. The defence ministry of Russia recently declared that Trudeau’s Canada helped Ukraine bomb Russian ships in the Black Sea. As per media reports, the Ukrainian drones were equipped with Canadian-made parts used in the navigation systems. The Russian military “conducted an examination of Canadian-made navigation modules” found in the shot-down unmanned aerial vehicles.

The ball is in Putin’s court

Now, this can trigger a fierce retaliation from the Kremlin if Putin goes on to declare it an act of war. Another noteworthy point here is that the drones were launched from Ukraine’s civilian ships carrying agricultural products from Ukrainian ports. So, the case is strong for Putin to launch a powerful retaliation. Simply put, Trudeau’s dancing with death in Ukraine is soon going to jeopardize Canada’s security environment in its north.

We should not undermine Russia’s role in maintaining stability and peace on Canadian borders. Although Moscow has increased its Arctic military presence in recent years, it has never posed a military threat to the Canadian defence forces.

Russia has never been a threat to Canada

Speaking at a defence conference in Ottawa in March this year, Canadian army chief General Wayne Eyre had declared that the likelihood of “little green men” showing up on a northern island, planting a flag, and claiming the territory as their own, was significantly low. He had said, “Let me start off by saying the threat of that right now is very low. That’s not to say it wouldn’t change in the decades in[to] the future. We don’t know.”

Perhaps, the general was referring to suicidal steps being taken by the Trudeau regime that might soon disturb the peace in the Canadian Arctic. With melting sea ice and increasing militarization, security threats are piling on Canada in an unprecedented manner. Thanks to Trudeau’s rampant provocation, Russia is reopening hundreds of soviet-era military sites in the Arctic. That’s definitely a major existential threat for Canada.

Piling security threats in cyberspace

Being at odds with Russia also means increased threats in cyberspace. Canadian Communications Security Establishment agency in July warned that after Canada extended its support to Ukraine in the war, the chances of Russia waging a cyber attack on Canada have significantly increased.

The worst part is, Canada is dangerously underprepared to tackle the rising threats it has deliberately imposed on itself. “We’re grossly unprepared to protect ourselves,” said Robert Smol, a retired military intelligence officer who served in the Canadian Armed Forces for more than two decades.

Canada: grossly underprepared

He added, “The invasion of Ukraine is only now really highlighting how far behind we are.” Smol also noted that Canada should not bank on NATO’s Article 5 for countering the imminent Russian threat. Smol warned that Canada was not fulfilling its security responsibilities under that alliance. And NATO could give this excuse to not rescue it when needed.

In a nutshell, Trudeau is sleepwalking into a suicide capsule nicely set up by NATO, that would destroy Canadian defences and the economy once and for all. Had Canada maintained neutrality over the Ukraine question, the security situation in Canada’s neighbourhood would have been much more peaceful? Now that a reckless Trudeau has pressed the suicide button, he should well brace himself for the deadly ramifications.
